In the fight against tack theft, Equestrian House now offers saddle microchipping in partnership with Identipet. This is NOT a tracking device, but saddles can now be identified and reunited with their rightful owners and should serve as a deterrent to tack thieves.
An Identipet microchip is permanent ID. The microchip itself has no internal energy source, so it should last the life of your saddle. It is read by passing a microchip scanner over the space where the microchip was inserted. The scanner emits a low radio frequency that provides the power necessary to transmit the microchip’s unique ID code that will link to the owner’s contact information.
